Jo Ambassador around Guer

Portrait of Jo

Joseph, known as Jo, lives at “Passoué” in the very house where he was born. A retired farmer for three years, he has had up to 35 cows.

During his last 15 active years, he converted to organic farming, aware that this choice was important for a quality of life. He is convinced that the new technologies will facilitate future harvests.

Around his home, the vegetable garden, the orchard, the farmyard, everything is organic, lush, smiling and welcoming.

His former farm has been taken over by a young woman who grows wheat and makes excellent bread “La mie qui chante”, which delights Jo.

Jo would like to allow visitors to appreciate her close-to-nature spirit.

A few steps away from his home, Jo takes visitors on a tour of a village of about 15 houses, preserved “in its original state” and restored “as in the old days”. For him, human harmony and a preserved landscape are the basis of a friendly mutual aid between neighbors. Listening to him, one would dream of having a neighbor named Jo and of living in his preserved hamlet!
