200 years of history
On November 3, 1824, 3 Brothers and 10 young people in formation left Josselin to settle in Ploërmel, in the former Ursuline property purchased by Gabriel Deshayes. Together with Jean-Marie de la Mennais, they founded the Brothers of Christian Instruction in 1819, and from then on, this property became the Brothers’ Mother House.
