Development plan – Office de tourisme Montfort Communauté

Since 2006, Montfort Communauté has been responsible for tourism on behalf of its 8 communes.

To guide its actions, the Tourism Department has drawn up a multi-year tourism development plan.

What kind of tourism for Montfort Communauté?

The 2021-2026 tourism development plan is based on the idea of reinforcing the image of a territory that is at once natural, sporty and creative, on the edge of the Brocéliande forest.
Please note: Montfort Communauté is part of Destination Brocéliande: 5 communities of communes in Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan grouped together in one of the 10 destinations in Brittany. They have joined forces to pool their assets and enhance their appeal to tourists. Destination Brocéliande communicates around 4 imaginary universes: time travel, the creative spirit, nature bathing and tales & legends.

        Which visitors and how to welcome them?

        • Families with children looking to share unusual experiences close to home.
          How can we do this? By building loyalty, innovating, guaranteeing services at attractive rates and developing online booking.
        • Sports enthusiasts who want to take advantage of the region’s surroundings and facilities while respecting the environment.
          How can we do this? By encouraging them to return outside events, by promoting local consumption and by adopting a sustainable development approach.
        • Young retirees who want to enjoy wellness activities in a spirit of conviviality and tranquility.
          How can we help? By developing bicycle and pedestrian itineraries and sharing tourist information.

        What actions should be taken in the coming years?

        The plan includes a dozen actions focusing on 4 key areas

        • Enhancing the tourism offering
          For example, enhancing natural and historic sites, preserving Lac de Trémelin, developing sports and leisure activities (canoeing, gravel biking, climbing, etc.).
        • Providing an excellent welcome
          Example: reinforce quality labels.
        • Develop tourism promotion
          Example: propose packages and online offers.
