But what do they do at the tourist office in winter?

What does the Tourist Office do out of season? “But what do you do in winter? It’s quiet at the moment … You must be bored?”
There’s a lot of prejudice out there: we test the local restaurants, we wait quietly for the tourists, we develop our team spirit by playing cards…
Let’s set the record straight and find out what we really do in the off-peak season!

Our missions

The main mission of a tourist office is to promote its region to a wide public, in a highly competitive sector where you have to constantly renew yourself to win over visitors, locals and tourism professionals alike.

To be able to provide information to visitors at the counter or behind their screens or laptops requires a great deal of upstream work. And the entire Tourist Office team is constantly working to ensure that we provide the best possible information throughout the year.

Here are just a few of the many tasks carried out by your tourist office:

  • We provide information to 5,000 people between October and the end of March.
  • We update 650 tourist offers (accommodations, restaurants, leisure sites, etc.) and 100 procedure sheets.
  • We evaluate all our actions, close our budgets and draw up the 2025 action plan.
  • We review our editions and enrich our content on the destination-broceliande website.
  • We visit new accommodations
  • We plan our publications on social networks for the coming months
  • We renew our boutique spaces
  • We are joining forces with Destination Brocéliande to pool our promotional activities for 2025.
  • We are drawing up a plan to redevelop the Tréhorenteuc tourist information office by the end of 2025.
  • We’re working to improve the flow of tourists through a legendary passport
  • We are drafting a partner’s guide
  • We’re preparing for the “destination of excellence” label, due to be awarded in 2025.
  • We’re getting together as a team for meetings, field visits, etc., in order to build and feed current projects, and also to gain a better understanding of the region’s offer, so as to sell it more effectively.

This list is not exhaustive, but you’ll see that there’s plenty to do!
Now you can say: “Now I know what they do in winter!
