Europe’s biggest photo festival

If you don’t know about the Festival Photo de la Gacilly, you urgently need to make a stopover. This unmissable event in the heart of Brittany offers each year, a giant exhibition from June 1to October 1. On a journey through the town, you can admire the gigantic snapshots on display and discover this picturesque village. La Gacilly is transformed into a magnificent floral setting showcasing the largestphoto festivaloutdoors in Europe. Its gardens, alleyways, labyrinth of plants and walls are home to over 1,000 photographs.

The 2023 edition

Traditionally, each year a theme and countries are featured. In 2023, this 20th edition of the festival, will be dedicated to environmental photography under the title: La nature en héritage !” The Festival Photo La Gacilly therefore wished to recall its mission, which is to work for a more responsible world. It will remain true to its commitments by highlighting the great environmental issues of our time, to better understand our modern civilization and the great dangers that threaten us. With this special feature that sets it apart: exhibiting outdoors, free of charge, and on large formats, the great names of photography.

Entirely outdoors and freely accessible, the festival is fortunate to be able to offer a visiting setting conducive to peaceful photographic discovery.

Discovering the Festival

• In Place de la Ferronnerie, the Info Point provides access to the program plan, which presents all the exhibitions and activities on offer.

ON YOUR OWN

• Photo-Rally : With the help of a game board, young and old are invited to keep their eyes open to find all the rally details in the exhibits!
  Free loan at the Festival Info Point, in exchange for ID.
• The Zoom-Zoom bag : With the help of games and accessories, this free borrowable kit aims to encourage intergenerational exchanges and a playful discovery of the Festival.

GUIDED TOURS

• Game tours for families to discover part of the festival program in a fun and original way
  July and August – Wednesdays at 2:30 pm
• Guided tours : Guided tours are offered throughout the festival, for individuals and groups.
  July and August – Thursdays and Fridays at 2:30pm and Sundays at 2pm and 4pm
  June and September – Sundays at 2pm and 4pm
